Comets

Well, just one so far…

Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS

- 22 October 2024

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS)

We live in the Pacific Northwest, so finding a clear night in October for Comet-watching is not easy. We finally made it out to a fairly light-polluted area and got some shots on October 22nd. The comet was WAY past it’s prime and not visible to the naked eye, but I managed to get some longer exposure shots of it, and Bob actually managed to find it with a pair of binoculars!
